ATS challenge - Snowflakes

Hi everyone,

Here I have a couple of cards to share with you for the Wednesday challenge at the ATS blog which was to use snowflakes on your card, but no Christmas paper....although snowflake paper was ok!!

The DT did an amazing job, so hop over to the blog and take a look, hope you can join in the fun this week.

I officially start my DT position with ATS tomorrow, but as you know I have been able to take part in a few of their sneek peeks, I am so looking forward to working with all the amazingly talented ladies and so grateful for the chance to be part of it.

Here are the details
  • Images: Winterbear from ATS
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Paper: Imaginisce and Coredinations CS, sorry I don't know the green one
  • Snowflakes and brads from stash

The second one is another of my handrawn backgrounds where I drew a little house, I have found that the CC design stamps are such a perfect size for me to get creative with and I really love thinking of little scenes to match the stamps...hope you think so too lol!!

Well, that looks like the last post for 2008, I just want to say I have had a blast!!!, it's been truly amazing, I never thought when I started my blog in March that I would have come so far and got to meet such wonderful people, I am truly thrilled to call you my friends. Thank you all for all your comments, encouragement and inspiration...long may it continue!!

Here's to health and happiness and lots more crafting in 2009, stay safe everyone

Hi everyone,

So I'm braving the cold to come and tell you my fabulous news.......Janet at pink gem designs has very kindly chosen me to be part of her wonderful design team. The two new members are...lil' ole me and the gorgeously talented Bev and we will be joining Janet and Katy in this exciting adventure. I am absolutely thrilled.....well who wouldn't be.....have you seen those stamps....soooo cute, thankyou so much Janet, looking forward to 2009.

Gingersnaps Review Preview

Well, I'm back with another post, slightly later than planned as we spent the whole day yesterday at my BIL's house to celebrate his 50th birthday.

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas day and got to spend time with your loved ones and got loads of yummy gifts. The day here for us was wonderful, the kids were absolutely thrilled with all their gifts and we had such fun. This is the first year my little girl actually 'gets it', I know this because she said....'this is the first christmas we've ever had'.....not exactly true as she is 3 years old.....ya gotta love em!!!

So, here I am with my card for the Gingersnaps Review Preview from CC designs . If you love these stamps (and I know you do), now is the time to get them, Christine is offering 15% of all CC design stamps until Sunday....how fabulous is that. Hop over to the blog for more gorgeous creations from the DT

Sketch Saturday #30

Morning everyone

And a happy Saturday to you all......the last one before Christmas, can you believe it...only 5 more sleeps till the big day!!! Hope Santa brings you everything you wished for (only if you've been good though!!) and that you all have a fabulous time.
For me it's mixed emotions, tomorrow would have been my Dad's 70th birthday and with Christmas around the corner I'm sure there would have been much celebration, so it's a time to look back and remember the times with my Dad.....I still miss him every day.....and then pick myself up and shake myself down and look forward to some magical days with my DH and my gorgeously wonderful kids.

Anyway enough of this chatter, I'm getting all upset just typing a few words so back to the matter in hand. As it is Saturday, it can only mean one thing.....yeah that's right.....another fabulous sketch at Sketch Saturday . Jo has come up with yet another stunna and I had real fun playing with this one.

I couldn't face another Christmas card, so went for something a bit more cheery and full of colour, really need to start making my Christmas cards earlier next year so that a) I have them made it time and b) I'm not so fed up with them........it does kinda take the shine of it a bit!!!

So here are the details of my card
  • Image: Tilda
  • Paper: I'm not sure....I think K&Co
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Sentiment: Studio g
  • Flowers, brads, ribbon and spacer beads from stash

Thanks to everyone who joined in last week and every other week, we all realise that time is precious to everyone at the moment, so if you do have a few spare moments this week and feel the need to chill, hope you will stop by and join in the fun with us

On behalf of everyone at Sketch Saturday and from all the DT I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by, have a super day

Friday Sketchers

Morning everyone,

Here is my entry to this weeks Friday Sketchers which was a nice simple sketch from Heidi.....I love it and managed to make this card up in no time....in fact it was so quick I managed to make another card....my DH nearly passed out with shock when he saw I had made 2 cards in one go...lol!!

Thankfully all the Christmas cards I'm going to make this year are almost finished, cos I swear if I see any more 'red and green' I'm gonna scream...aarrghhh!!!!

Here are the details
  • Image: Tilda Lucia
  • Paper: BG Wassail
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Flowers, snowflake and brad from stash and a little help from my blogging buddies!!

Anwway must dash, gotta make a space.....DS's teacher just called to see if we can look after the hamster over Christmas, not normally a problem, but he also informed me....."it's quite intelligent and sometimes it ESCAPES!!!!!"......WHAT!!...oh well it will make for an eventful break if it does somehow manage to tunnel out lol!

Thanks for stopping by, have a super day

Had a really nice day on Thursday, my little girl was in her first Christmas concert at school, she's only in the nursery class and they told the nativity story using the songs of Abba, the donkey was called Fernando....you get the idea, so funny and so cute and then the evening was another throwback to the 80's as my DH and I went with some friends to see Heaven 17, ABC and the Human League......remember them!!!!! So tired yesterday though as I had a few 'shandies'.....I don't get out much lol!!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to hop over to the blog and take a look at the fabulous creations from the rest of the DT......have a super Saturday

Another quick post from me today, just to show you my card for this weeks Friday Sketchers which was a fabulous sketch by Claudia.

It's been so loooong since I made a tall card and I think I've forgotten what to do lol!!!.......just so used to making square cards!!

Anyway, I'm not overly happy with it....you know when you have papers and you know they go together but when you put them on the card it just doesn't look right....well this is one of them!!....sometimes I look at at and think it looks ok and then I look again and think...oh, no!!! lol!!, but I really love the FS challenges so I'm going to enter it anyway.

So, here are the details
  • Image: Tilda
  • Papers: Imaginisce and Coredinations CS
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Ribbon, flowers and brads from stash

A spoon full of sugar

Morning everyone,

Something a bit different from me this morning, I picked up this pack of PM paper from the Glitter Pot for only 99p!!! can you believe that....and I think I went a bit crazy with it!!!

I love how it turned out with all the layers, but Tilda's hair seems to be lost in the background.....what do ya think!!!....it was all stuck down before I realised and now I don't know what to do....leave it alone or try to make the hair darker......any advice girls!!!!

So anyway, this is my entry to this weeks ASFOS where the theme is 'thank you'. Just perfect as I need to send a thankyou to someone for some gorgeous candy I received.
Here are the details
  • Image: Tilda also from the Glitter Pot
  • Paper: PM and Coredinations CS
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Sentiment: Studio G
  • Flowers and brads from stash

I know all you lovely ladies out there will be able to help me out and tell me what to do.....thanks for stopping by, have a super day
