A spoon full of sugar

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a fab weekend

I decided to make a card last night to try and take my mind off the excruciating pain from my toothache and went for the a spoonfull of sugar's challenge which this week was Christmas.

I love to enter 'a spoonfull' and try to make a card everyweek, so please excuse my artistic licence as making a Christmas card is especially difficult if you don't have any 'Christmas' things!!
Anyway I am pleased with the results even if it isn't very traditional.

Here are the details
  • Image: Honey from Sugar Nellie
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Paper: K&Co
  • All other embellies from stash

I see also that last night my counter went over 10,000 hits, huge thanks to all my visitors for popping by and leaving such lovely comments and making this whole blog thing worthwhile

As my birthday is fast approaching and I have tipped the 10K I am going to do some blog candy, hopefully in the next few days...just need to get it sorted...so stay tuned

Have a super day, thanks for stopping by

YAY! My DH fixed the problem with the photo's and he showed me what to do if it ever happens again.....big kiss mwah!

So now I am able to show you my card for this weeks Friday Sketchers where it was the turn of Heidi to produce this weeks sketch and what a fabulous sketch it was. The DT cards are fantastic and so full of inspiration.

The butterfly is part of my win from Hanne's candy, there's a pot of them all different colours and I've been dying to use them, just not sure what to do with them, so I overlayed it with the flower and I think it looks nice.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined in last week, all your cards were amazing and congratulations to Jules who won the Sarah Kay stamp.
For my card this week I used one of my new stamps from Whiff of Joy called Melinda helping Angel. These stamps are just fabulous and a real pleasure to colour. I have added a sentiment as I have decided to give this card to my MUM for her birthday...I can show you all because she doesn't read my blog....she doesn't even have a computer lol!!!!

I have also had to take another photo which now shows the glittery wings a bit better.
Here are the details
  • Image: Melinda helping angel from WOJ
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Paper: K&Co
  • Flowers, brads, and gems from stash

Well, its a girls day today...my DH and DS are off to the football and my DD insists we go to town to buy a Barbie, with lights and sounds....I have no idea what she's talking about or where to buy it, so it's going to be an eventful outing lol!!!....if you can help, pleeeeease get in touch!

BARBIE UPDATE: Our trip to town was a success!!! No tears, no tantrums, just wonderful. We found the 'prize' in the second shop we looked in and here is my beautiful daughter Caitlin to show you what all the fuss was about

Sarah Kay

Hi everyone,

And a very good morning to you all. I have made this card as my entry to Sarah Kay challenge, which was to use a fabulous sketch. The DT's cards were awesome, you couldn't help but be inspired.....I will definately use it again.

So, I decided to keep it simple and keep the same colours throughout and I think it turned out just as I imagined (shock horror!).
Take a look at the glittery ribbon I found at the local market....isn't it just fabulous!!!!
Again I've gone with some green.....just can't get enough of it lately, don't know why, but I want to use it on all my cards lol!!, only problem now is I've used up all my green flowers, so rummaging around to find other things to match!!

Here are the details
  • Image: Sarah Kay
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Paper: Craft Creations and K&Co
  • Ribbon, flowers and brads from stash

Thanks for stopping by, have a fab day

Sukkersott- klippe, klippe

Hi everyone,

I wanted to join in with a new challenge this week on Sukkersott which is a Norwegian challenge blog and the theme this week was 'cutting' - I think!! but I left it short of time, so made a quick decoupage card.
I used to make quite a lot of decoupage cards, but since discovering stamping, that has kind of taking over, as stamping combines the two things I love most....making cards and colouring in!!

The image is Mylo and friends.

Thanks for looking, be back later with another card

Not a card

Morning everyone

Yes, its not a card, but it is my first feeble attempt at altering a notebook!
This isn't how it was supposed to look (gosh, I seem to be saying that a lot lately lol!), in my head there was going to be flowers and other embellies, but I couldn't get them to look right, so then I remembered a gorgeous travel wallet which Hanne had showed on her blog and I thought I would add some stamps, well I don't have any stamps, so I just got some images from the net....its not up to much, but it's ok for me!

So, here is my new address book for jotting down the details of all my new lovely blogging friends and since it is not a card I will enter it in this weeks a spoon full of sugar .

Here are the details
  • Image: hAngler
  • Paper: Crate paper
  • Medium: Promarkers

Thanks for stopping by, have a super day

This week we have a fabulous prize up for grabs courtesy of Emma at Sassy Crafts. She has kindly donated a Sarah Kay stamp....so if you needed an extra reason to join in....hop over now to the blog for all the details

Also one of my fellow DT members Mariska has reached 1000 hits in just one month...yeah Mariska....and is celebrating by offering blog candy associated with this weeks sketch.......so more opportunity to win a prize.....join in...you might just win them all!!!!

Anyway here are the details of my card
  • Image: Sweet Ebony 'picking apples' from Sugar Nellie
  • Paper: Scrapbook pack from Partners (the stationary shop)
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Sentiment: Studio G
  • Flowers, brads and gems from stash

The frame around the image was an afterthought, which is why its slightly covering the image, but I think it looks ok. Flowers using the punch I won in Hannes blog candy

Good luck to everyone

Growing up!

Morning everyone,

Well finally I have been able to make another card, 'back to school' was supposed to mean more time for me, but karma has other plans.....I've been chasing my tail the whole week...just don't know where the time has gone!!!

Anyway I have made this card as my first entry to the House Mouse challenge, which this week was a fabulous sketch. I don't actually have any of these stamps, I was kindly sent a few images by my friend Heather and I have a few left, so hopefully I will be able to join in again...for a few weeks anyway!!

I adore this image..it reminds me of my daughter who is forever putting on my shoes and clip clopping round the house, she is so gorgeous and really makes me smile everyday.

I have chosen a 'pink' colour scheme to enter CCT where the theme is..yes you guessed it..'pretty in pink'.

Here are the details
  • Image: House mouse (sorry I don't know any of their names)
  • Paper: K&Co, BG
  • Medium: Promarkers (coloured in about 30 seconds!!)
  • Flowers, brads and sentiment bubble sticker from my stash

Have a super day, thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a comment so I know you were here

Don't forget tomorrow is a new challenge on Sketch Saturday , hope you can join in the fun
