A spoon full of sugar

This week on ASFOS is a wonderful sketch by the gorgeously talented Nikki , just perfect for easing us all into the new year....thanks hun!

I love this sketch cos as Bev kindly pointed out on her blog, we all have single sheets of pp that don't really match with anything else, so it's a great way to use these up.

I have taken more than a little inspiration for my card from the one Camilla made, which you can view here .....isn't it gorgeous.

Here are the details
  • Image: Willow with cookies from WOJ
  • Paper: No name sorry...and Coredinations CS
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Sentiment: AmyR Love sentiments from ATS
  • Flowers, ribbon and brads from stash

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you might leave, have a super day

Cute Card Thursday

Hi everyone,

Here is my card for this weeks Cute Card Thursday where the theme is 'snow and snowflakes'. It seems like forever since I joined in with the CCT challenge and since I'm in a real Christmas card mood, it was nice and easy!!

I've used one of Jo's old sketches from Sketch Saturday so if you're ever stuck for inspiration, head over there and look through all the previous ones, I think there are 26 to choose from, so you should easily find one to get creative with!

There is something missing from my card, I really wanted to add some snowflakes but I dont have any.......so a trip to the shops tomorrow me thinks!!

Here are the detail
  • Image: Charlie from WOJ
  • Paper: Imaginisce and Coredinations CS
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Ribbon from stash

That's all folks, hope you have a super day, thanks for stopping by

3 challenges in 1

Morning everyone,

Here is a card I've been working on for a few days now and just can't seem to get it so that I'm completely happy. I followed the sketch from a spoonfull of sugar which was kindly provided by the incredibly talented Lim. I decided to use a WOJ stamp so that I could combine it with the WOJ challenge and then because of the autumn colours I could also enter it for Cute Card Thursday .

I love the layout of the card and the papers and the ribbon and everything but just struggled with the image part....I originally had Melinda helping Angel on a white background but when I stuck that on it was like WHOOO!...too white, so I tried to distress it a bit....NO! that had to go straight in the bin. So back to the drawing board again, using a different stamp and a coloured cardstock.....like I say, not completely happy, but it's so much better than the first attempt lol!!

Here are the details anyway
  • Image: Willow with cookies from WOJ
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Paper: hmmm, don't know
  • Ribbon and brads from stash

Thanks for looking, have a super Sunday

Sketch Saturday #19 - DT week

Morning everyone,

And a happy Saturday to you all.......yes that's right another week at Sketch Saturday and another chance to get creative. This week is the first DT week where one of the design team gets a chance to provide the sketch and this week it is the turn of.....lil' old me!!!

Huge thanks to everyone who took part last week, there really were some amazing creations and I'm hoping this week will be no different......don't want to fall flat on my face at the first attempt lol!!

This week there is another fabulous prize up for grabs.....Melinda with book from Whiff of Joy . I had the idea to give a prize to celebrate my first DT week and also my birthday and when I spoke to the lovely Katharina about it, she decided to give me the stamp as a gift, how generous is that!!!, Big hugs and thanks to Katharina.

Anywoo, here are the details of my card
  • Image: Penpal from Sugar Nellie
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Paper: Cherry Arte
  • Ribbon, flowers and little gems from my stash

Hope you join in with the fun this week, hop over to the blog right now for more details and look at all the wonderful cards from my fellow DT, they really did a fantastic job...thankyou!

Thanks to everyone who has entered my blog candy so far, I'm overwhelmed by the response....you still have 5 more days to get your name in the hat, so what are you waiting for........

hmmm, maybe not....

Morning everyone,

Last night I decided to make my card for Katharina's Whiff of Joy Guest DT call, browsed through all her fabulous sketches and chose Sketch #25 and this is what I came up with.

I'm not overly happy with it so have decided not to enter it (yet!), hopefully I will have time to make another before the deadline......but I thought I would share it with you anyway, primarily because the image is sooooo gorgeous!

Here are the details
  • Image: Willow with cookies (from Whiff of Joy )
  • Medium: Promarkers
  • Paper: S.E.I
  • Flowers and brads from stash

My friend Heather has just reminded me that the theme this week on CCT is food, so I will enter it for that.

Sorry about the jumbled post but I am suffering with TOOTHACHE! and I am going to the emergency dentist this afternoon........I'm really frightened......wish me luck!!!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend, thanks for stopping by, don't forget tomorrow to pop over to Sketch Saturday for another fantastic challenge

Think Pink!

Hi everybody,

As most of you already know the lovely and extremely talented Katharina has begun an adventure to follow her dreams and open her own online shop with a fantastic new stamp range. She already has her team together of fabulous illustrators and a cracking design team, but she would like to add a guest designer.
I have made this card following the sketch which Katharina has kindly provided and really enjoyed it, here are the details
  • Image: Sweet n Sassy by Sugar Nellie
  • Medium: Watercolour pens
  • Paper: MME 29th Street Market
  • Sentiment, flowers, ribbon and brads from stash

I would be honoured to be a guest designer and be a part of this new venture, I wish Katharina and all her team good luck and success
