Hi everyone,

As I was looking for inspiration I decided to follow the sketch on this weeks mojomonday , which made things much easier and is actually my first ever entry to this challenge blog, but I will definately be back. The sketch is quite simple so was perfect for a boy card, you know how difficult they can be...just like in real life lol!

Another 2 in 1

Hi everyone,

I decided to combine another 2 challenges cos I am running short of time (again!) this week. I really love these 2 blogs and didn't want to miss out on the challenges, so I made this card for cutecardthursday which was to use 3 different embellishments and fridaysketchers which was a sketch by a very talented lady called jacqueline and gave me another chance to create more wobbly lines lol!

The image is coloured with watercolour pens, pp by Pebbles inc, then I used flowers, button, brads and ribbbons as embellishments from my stash, the little dragonfly brad is Woodware

Well, the sun is just breaking through the cloud and rain so it looks like it's going to be a brighter day, have fun, feel free to leave a comment

2 challenges in 1

Hi everyone,

As the name suggests I have managed (by sheer luck!) to combine the challenges of papertakeweekly and aspoonfullofsugar hope that's ok.

The PTW challenge was HOT!, so any colours like red, orange, hot pink etc, and this is what I came up with, I would like to say I just threw it together, but it was actually a lot harder than it looks, cos I don't have many of those colours....more shopping! oh dear!, but I am really pleased with the finished results

Then over on A Spoon Full of Sugar, the theme is celebration and you can now use hAnglers on your designs, how fab......well this is my very first hAngler stamp which I received only 2 days ago and I love it, sooo pleased we will soon be able to get them in the UK!

Have a super sunny day

A spoon full of sugar

Hi,

This is my entry to a spoon full of sugar and is my first entry to this challenge blog whoo hoo! The theme this week was 3-2-1, 3brads or buttons, 2 patterned papers and 1 flower and
they have a gorgeous Sweet Ebony stamp up for grabs, those stamps are sooo adorable.

The image I received in some blog candy I won, coloured with watercolour pens, I have used 3 brads and a little gem on the bib (for good measure!), 2 pp by basic grey, and 1 flower from stash (or maybe it's 4 flowers stuck together to make 1! hmmm hope that still counts)

I really enjoyed this challenge and will definately be back to try again.

Have a super day

Ismaki challenge #23

Hi,

Here is my entry for this weeks ismaki challenge which this week was another fabulous sketch by Beatrix. So time for more wobbly lines as I attempt to cut a circle freehand, I think I got away with it cos the paper is so dark you cant really see lol!

Decided to use a Penny Black image which I haven't used for a while, coloured with watercolour pencils and paper pieced the present. pp I think is K &Co, not sure, ribbon, brads and flowers from stash.

Have a super day

Here is my entry for this weeks fridaysketchers challenge which was a lovely sketch by a very talented lady named kimmie, her work is so brilliant you should definatley check out her blog.

I'm not sure about this one....I really love these papers, so bright and cheerful but somehow when I try to put them together they just don't turn out as I imagined...anyway it's all a learning curve!!

Tilda coloured with watercolour pencils, bazzill card, pp by Pebbles inc and some scraps, ribbon, flower and brad from stash

Ismaki challenge #22

Hi everybody,

Wow, how time flies, don't seem to have participated in the ismaki for ages, so thought I would make a special effort after the hols and keep up with the challenges (what do they say about best laid plans!), so here is my entry.

The sketch was set by Manue and the option was to use red, which I think I managed lol!

The image is a Whipper Snapper which I received in a swap, coloured with watercolour pens, pp by Basic Grey, did a bit of doodling for the white flowers, bazzill card, flowers and brads from stash.

The big red bloom was actually a 'freebie' - some flowers had fallen off some artificial flower bunches which we sell at work and were in the bin, I rescued them and my boss said I could have them, I just brought them home and pulled them apart, took the middle out and the green plastic bit holding it together and 'voila' a super embellie for a card!

Have a super day

Couldn't wait!

Hi,

See I told you I'd be back real soon lol!

As mentioned earlier, I have been given an award by Diane and I would like to pass this on to.....drumroll....

marlene
mandy
erica
louise

all for different reasons but equally as important to me

And now for my tag.....which I would like to pass to the same people and anyone else who wants to take part....

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

1) TEN YEARS AGO
Preparing and panicking about my forthcoming wedding to my lovely hubby Joe

2) 5 Things in todays TO DO list
Well the day is nearly over, so these are the things I should have done today
1- Have a lie in! (most important at the top)
2- Go to work (well it is double time!!)
3- Wash the holiday clothes
4- Iron the holiday clothes
5- Put away holiday clothes
some of these I did, some not, can you guess which ones!!!!!

3) Snacks I enjoy
All the things which are bad for me, crisps, CHOCOLATE,sweets, chips and dips...you get the idea!

4) Things I would do if I was a Millionaire
Make sure my family were OK, buy a big house, but not a BIG house, cos I'm a bit scared of a house with lots of empty rooms!, travel a bit and just generally kick back and relax a bit more!

5)5 places I have lived
1- Hamilton (near Glasgow) where I was born
2- Kendal in the Lake District
3- Morecambe
4- Preston
5- Stafford
As you may have noticed I have moved south everytime - I'm hoping to be in the south of France by the time I retire lol!

I'm Back!

Hi everybody,

Just a quick post tonight and no cards (boo!) as we have just returned from a very wet and windy week in Devon. My son and his team, Shire Oak Gunners, were playing in a football tournament there and I just wanted to tell everyone how awesome the team were, they finished runners up in the U8's and played fantastic, all the parents are so proud of them, big hugs and kisses to all the lads...well done!

So it looks like it's been a busy week in blog land, lots of wonderful new creations, hopefully I will be able to add to that this week (oh how I missed it!)

I've been given the Circle of Friends award and been tagged by my blogging buddy Diane , how fab, thanks a bunch, need to get my thinking cap on for both of those.

Anyway, need to catch up with a few people, be back real soon, thanks for stopping by
