Well done and thanks again to everyone.

Quick quiz with a prize!

UPDATED: Hi, I've added a few things to the prize

Evening everyone,
I was going to do some blog candy when I got to 5000 hits but somehow I've missed the boat, so here's your chance to win a prize. All you have to do is work out the correct answer to the question, post it on my blog and I'll draw the winner from all the correct entries on Sunday 27th July at 8.00pm GMT.

I have shown a photo of the paper pad, but there will also be some ribbon and images and a few other bits and bobs, I will try to get another picture tomorrow

Feel free to post on your blog, but you can enter anyway even if you don't.

So here is the question
This is a 5th grade math problem.
This is not a trick question.
This is a real math problem so don't say that a bus has no legs.

There are 7 girls in a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. In each backpack, there are 7 big cats. For every big cat there are 7 little cats.

Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

Good luck

When I was making it I kept saying to myself 'what were you thinking' as it looked like the papers just didn't go together, but I persevered and I actually think now the card is complete it looks ok! I wanted to use this cute image, but couldn't make it into a circle or an oval, hope that's ok!!! • Medium: Watercolour pens
  • Paper: Bazzill and mmmm I don't know

A spoon full of sugar

Hi everbody,

Here is my card for this weeks challenge over at a spoonfull of sugar where the theme this week was 'one for the girls' following the success of last weeks challenge 'one for the boys'.

I gave myself a time limit to finish this card, cos at the moment, no matter if I sit down with an idea or completely blank it seems to take forever, well, I only went over by 15mins, not bad, I reckon, still gave me time to sit and relax and watch BB before going to bed.

I tried to experiment with a few more layers and cut one of the pieces too small, but I'm still happy with how it turned out
  • Image: hAngler
  • Medium: Watercolour pens
  • Paper: Bazzill and BG
  • Flowers and brads from stash

Thanks for looking, have a super day

Sarah Kay Challenge

Hi everyone,

Here is my card for this weeks Sarah Kay challenge 2, which was to use a wonderful sketch.

This is a new challenge blog and the DT's work was so inspirational, that I had to give it a go. Now, I don't have any Sarah Kay stamps and this is the only image I had in my collection, so this may be my one and only entry! (or maybe I'm going to admit that I really do have to have some of these cuties lol!)

Anyway, the photo isn't very good, the blues and greens match a bit more IRL, but you get the idea...
  • Image: Sarah Kay
  • Medium: Watercolour pencils
  • Paper: Crate Paper
  • Brads, flowers and ribbon fom stash

Have a super day, thanks for stopping by

Friday Sketchers

Hi everyone,

As I was feeling a bit better last night, I had a go at this weeks Friday Sketchers which was a sketch by the lovely Heidi . This gave me a chance to 'practise' more cutting circles, cos as most of you know I have to cut them freehand....don't look too close lol!, but the sketch was really easy to work with...just perfect for someone not feeling tip-top!

I haven't added any fabric/paper flower cos if truth be told, my flower stash is seriously depleted and since Stafford has no craft shop...yeh you heard me...no craft shop, I don't have the luxury of being able to shop in store for crafty supplies, so if anyone can help me where is a good place to buy flowers online, I would appreciated it. I would prefer to be able to buy a mix selection in one tub, if you know what I mean...I love all the primas, but they have mostly one colour in each pack. If you can help me, please leave a comment or send me a mail, thanks

Anyway back to the card
  • Image: Magnolia (sent to me by my lovely friend Bev )
  • Medium: Watercolour pens
  • Paper: PM
  • Brads from stash

Have a super Sunday, thanks for stopping by

A spoon full of sugar

Hi Everyone,

Here is my entry for this weeks a spoon full of sugar where the theme was 'one for the boys'. As most of you agree, boy cards are notoriously difficult to make, but with the help of some super stamps I am actually finding it easier and easier, just got to remember not to go over the top with embellishments!

Well, goodness knows how I managed to make a card that I am happy with....my DS had a cold on Mon/Tue which he has very 'kindly' passed to me and now I feel like complete cr*p, so if you don't see me for a few days...I'll be curled up on the sofa feeling sorry for myself!
  • Image: hAngler
  • Medium: Watercolour pens
  • Paper: Bazzill, Basic Grey
  • Rub-on sentiment, ribbon and brads from stash

Hope you have a lovely day

Friday Sketchers

Hi everybody,

Here is my entry for this weeks friday sketchers which was another fabulous sketch by Beatrix . Now I know it's thursday and the challenge is almost over...but better late than never!
  • Image: High Hopes
  • Paper: PM
  • Medium: Watercolour pens

I did have some PM rub-on sentiments in pink and red which I really wanted to use but I just couldn't get them to 'rub-on', I think I will take them back to the shop! Also I didn't have any flowers to match, so just had to punch some out of red card...but I think it looks ok.

Ismaki challenge #26

Hi everyone,

Here is the card I have made for this weeks ismaki challenge which was another wonderful sketch by the wonderfully talented Beatrix.

My card looks simple compared to all the fabulous creations on the blog, but I definately followed the sketch!......I think it's because I didn't use any patterned paper on the background, didn't want to overdo it for a boy's card! Anyway I am really pleased with how it turned out.
  • image: High Hopes
  • paper: bazzill, basic grey
  • medium: watercolour pens
  • sentiment: PM rub-on
  • flowers and brads from stash

Feel free to leave a comment, have a super day
